Family Friendly Study Area
The Family Friendly Study Area provides a welcoming space where student parents and caregivers can study while accompanied by their children. There are a few key areas we would like to highlight.
Location: FCS-118
The Family Resource Center supports students with dependents by offering family-focused programs, parenting resources, and a welcoming community space. The center also serves as a training and internship site for Child Development and Family Studies (CDFS) students, helping expand access to family services and parent education on campus.

The FRC aims to promote student parent wellbeing, connection, and persistence by providing resources related to child development, parenting, resiliency, and navigating campus life.

Location: Library - 2nd Floor
Located on the 2nd floor of the °µÍøÊÓÆµLibrary, this designated space is designed to help students balance academic responsibilities and family needs in a comfortable and inclusive environment.
The study area is open during the library’s regular business hours and offers a setting that supports focused study, collaboration, and family-friendly learning. Students are encouraged to review library guidelines to help maintain a respectful and shared space for all users.

The Women’s & Gender Equity Center (WGEC) Lounge is a welcoming, child-friendly space open to all students and a supportive resource for student parents on campus. Students can relax, study, and recharge between classes while accessing amenities such as a microwave for meals, a dedicated breastmilk storage fridge, menstrual products, and printing services. The lounge provides a comfortable environment to build community, focus on academics, and take a break during the day. Students are also encouraged to connect with WGEC Student Peer Mentors to talk about successes, challenges, and upcoming campus events.
