How to Apply to the MA in Dance

Applying to the Master of Arts in Dance at °µÍøÊÓƵis a straightforward process. This is a summer-intensive, on-campus program. A movement audition and personal interview with the Department of Dance are required.

Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in dance or related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three years teaching dance in secondary or community college settings
  • Two courses in dance composition
  • One course in dance history
  • One course in anatomy/kinesiology (within last five years)
  • Three letters of recommendation (one from a supervisor or colleague)
  • Movement audition and personal interview
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA in last 60 semester units
