Academic Advising is a critical component of your success at California State University, °µÍøÊÓÆµ. Our faculty, staff and peer advisors are trained to help you make the most out of your undergraduate experience and meet your degree requirements. The university provides advising for university-wide requirements, for special student groups and for colleges and departments.

Having difficulty finding time to fulfill the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR), or successfully passing the Writing Proficiency Examination? A GWAR advisor can help.
Per order of the Chancellor’s Office:
As of June 2022, GWAR is still required for undergraduates, but it is no longer required for graduate students.
MAPS provides support to first-year students who are required to complete Mathematics with support, Written Communication (Composition I & II), and/or American Language Institute courses (ALI 145 & 150).
