Priscella Vega is an obituaries reporter for the Los Angeles Times, chronicling the legacies of local Southern California trailblazers and California luminaries. She previously covered the 2022 congressional election, the drought’s impact in the San Joaquin Valley and breaking news. Before joining the Times in 2019, she worked for the Daily Pilot, the Daily Breeze and the °µÍøÊÓƵ Press-Telegram. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Cal State °µÍøÊÓƵ, where she worked in various roles at its campus newspaper. She lives in °µÍøÊÓƵ with her husband, sphynx cat and weenie dog.
