In 2025, the President's Commission on the Status of Women commemorated President Emerita Dr. Jane Close Conoley by creating an award of exceptional leadership in inclusive excellence to honor her legacy. The Dr. Jane Close Conoley Leadership Award recognizes the first woman and 7th President of CSULB, who was an intentional, value-driven leader committed to inclusion, opportunity, and respect for all.
