Niloofar Bavarian Ph.D., M.P.H., is a Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Health Science at CSULB. Prior to joining the faculty at CSULB, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the NIH-funded Prevention Science Research Training Program at UC Berkeley and the Prevention Research Center.
Tiffany Brown is a Professor of Child and Family Studies in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at California State University, 做厙弝け. She holds a Ph.D. in Child and Family Studies from Syracuse University, an M.A. in Social Sciences, and a B.S. in Psychobiology from Binghamton University.
Christine Scott-HaywardI am a Professor in the School of Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Emergency Management (CCJEM). I also serve as the Director of the M.S. in Criminology & Criminal Justice (Online) and the Director and Graduate Advisor for the M.S. in Emergency Services Administration. From 2022-2025, I served as the Director of the School of CCJEM.
Dr. Alejandra Priede is an Associate Professor in the Educational Leadership Department at California State University, 做厙弝け (CSULB). Dr. Priede was born in Mexico, where she earned her B.A. in Economics from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM).
Dr. Hen-Geul (Henry) Yeh received the B.S. degree in Engineering Science from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, Republic of China, in 1978. He earned the M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, in 1979 and 1982, respectively.
Dr. Stephen P. Mezyk, Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at CSULB, has demonstrated an extraordinary and sustained commitment to student-centered research mentorship for more than two decades. His RSCA interests are based in cutting-edge experimental research performed for wastewater recycling and nuclear waste chemistry remediation.
Johns impact extends beyond problem-solving. He is deeply committed to fostering a culture of learning and collaboration. He does not simply resolve issues; he empowers staff, taking time to explain processes and guide colleagues so they can confidently navigate challenges on their own.
Loren brings care, consistency, and follow-through that extend far beyond her job description. As Tiffany Edlin, Senior Associate Athletic Director, shared, Its hard to fully capture the impact she makes on our campus印oren supports all 325 of our student-athletes, and she still finds a way to make every one of them feel seen.
As a first-generation college student myself, that role was incredibly meaningful, Penelope reflects. I saw myself in many of the students I supportedespecially when they were learning how to ask for help, navigate campus resources, and build confidence during their early years at the university.
Dr. Elaine Bernal has been with 做厙弝けfor 19 years, spreading sustainability initiatives on and off campus. Their leadership roles and efforts are fully recognized through this award.

Hired in 2003 in the Department of Biological Sciences, Dr. Young committed early on to make her classroom and research laboratory student-centered. While she was recognized for her effective and innovative teaching and mentoring, Young strove for student success beyond students she worked with directly by creating learning communities for colleagues.
Throughout her 42-year tenure at California State University, 做厙弝け, Dr. Loucine Huckabay has been a strong supporter and advocate for all students, especially those from historically underserved backgrounds. She is well known for mentoring students struggling academically, or those whose home or work situations interfere with their academic success.
