Women of Color in Academia @ CSULB
This group provides structural, institutional, and communal support faculty, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, ability, or sexual orientation; including women of color faculty. At the start of the 2024-2025 academic year, the group had approximately 140 members and spans across all university colleges.
Women of Color in Academia @°µÍøÊÓÆµpledges to:
- Create awareness of the impact of the intersectionality of gender, race, and ethnicity on the professional experience of faculty on campus.
- Increase institutional support to promote the success of our faculty women of color, and
- Create a faculty support network across the university through mentoring and highlighting the accomplishments of group participants. Welcomes all faculty, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, ability, or any other orientation.
