John Valenzuela

John M. Valenzuela is a double alum of the California State University, °µÍøÊÓÆµ, School of Social Work. As an undergraduate student, John was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Aware for the College of Health and Human Services, as was honored to give the commencement address. John has worked in community mental health settings since graduating with his MSW. Although he has served as a faculty member at the °µÍøÊÓÆµSchool of Social Work since 2013, John just recently started teaching full time. John currently has his own private practice, where he specializes in working with queer men of color. John is also faculty advisor for the Associated Students of Social Work (ASSW) LGBTQI+ Social Work Student Alliance.
