It is vital to network, be active on campus, and actively engage with others in the program. The last two years have been a rewarding experience and I feel grateful to have had such great experiences and memories with MPA students and professors.

I love ������Ƶ because there is something for everyone here. I am happy that I transferred to ������Ƶbecause I feel a part of the community and school.

I remember touring Universities back in high school and stepping foot onto ������Ƶ State and immediately thinking, “this is where I belong.”

I believe that the myBeach program and the Alumni Association bring people together in a comfortable, friendly environment that embraces different backgrounds and allows students and alumni alike to feel a sense of importance as they reflect on what they contributed to CSULB.

Getting involved and joining student organizations, such as the Hispanic Students Business Association, has opened so many doors for me. I have grown professionally and found a support system and a familia on campus.

I decided that I wanted to develop my overall professionalism so I immersed myself into organizations on campus such as Alpha Kappa Psi, FMA, and SCPD. I gained not only essential business skills but friends for a lifetime along the way.

My beach experience has been a great one. All of the professors are really helpful and nice. I have learned a lot from them and I feel prepared to become a great teacher. The organizations on campus have also made my experience worthwhile.

My experience here has been uplifting and positive. I want to be an example to other older adults who may think that it’s too late to get a degree. It is never too late to keep learning and give back to your community. Generous students who have gone before me have helped make this a great school and now I want to be able to give back for others.

Reflecting on these past three years at The Beach, CSU ������Ƶ has provided me the opportunity to grow as a leader and as a professional through three aspects: academics, extracurriculars, and relationships.

I have made some lifelong friends and had many truly memorable experiences. I have met so many people that have not only inspired me but have helped me grow as a person.

My Beach experience has been the best two years of my life. The Beach helped me to not only grow confidence in myself as a person, but in my abilities as a journalist and writer. For that, I am forever grateful.
