Matt Lesenyie, assistant professor of political science at Cal State °µÍøÊÓƵ, spoke with the about the increase of hate crimes in a report for Los Angeles County. Lesenyie said the increase, especially "in public" attacks, is linked to a growing resentment about limited economic opportunities.
