The university has partnered with °µÍøÊÓƵ Transit to offer competitively priced U-PASS TAP Card Program, which can be used on all °µÍøÊÓƵ Transit buses to eligible students, faculty and staff.

CSULB's University Housing has 3 residential colleges (or "villages"): Beachside, Hillside & Parkside. However, °µÍøÊÓƵcannot guarantee housing to any student, regardless of class level, and most °µÍøÊÓƵgraduate students live off campus.

For those looking for off-campus housing, °µÍøÊÓƵdoes not provide or manage outside housing alternatives. There are many resources available for finding off-campus housing. Here are a few options you may want to consider:

1. Online listing sites: These sites, such as Craigslist and Zillow, allow you to search for available rentals in your area. You can use filters to narrow down your search based on location, price, number of bedrooms, and other factors.
2. Social media: You can use social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to connect with people in your community who may be looking for roommates or have rental properties available.

We do not manage off-campus resources. It's important to be careful when searching for off-campus housing, as there are many scams out there. .

Rent College Pads (°µÍøÊÓƵMarketplace)

 provides searches for listings, roommates, subleases, and other resources for off-campus housing near the University and allows you to connect with other °µÍøÊÓƵstudents as potential roommates.

We do not have a way to verify the properties. However, Rent College Pads requires landlords to pay a listing service and confirmed °µÍøÊÓƵstudents can access the Roommate Connect feature.

Facebook Groups

Students have been successful using these Facebook pages to find roommates, sublets, and apartment leases off-campus. 

Campus  thrive at CSULB.  Tickets to games are free for students, who and can also purchase a limited number of discounted tickets for friends and family. 

With a wide variety of Club Sports & Recreation organizations at CSULB, there is something for nearly everyone on campus - and no experience is necessary. Many of the activities through Club Sports & Recreation give students the chance to compete on a collegiate level, traveling locally, regionally and nationally for competition.

Recreational organizations provide opportunities for participants to learn new skills and recreate with others both on and off campus. Have interest in Ski & Snowboard, Surfing or Sailing but you've never tried it? No problem! Find out more about the activities available through Club Sports.

Intramural Sports offers opportunities to participate in on a recreational level. Leagues and tournaments are available in a wide variety of indoor/outdoor sports such as basketball, volleyball, softball, and soccer.

The home of °µÍøÊÓƵ State basketball and volleyball for over 20 years,  has become a nationally recognized venue for the University and the city of °µÍøÊÓƵ. 

The structure's distinctive cobalt blue exterior has permanently altered the city's skyline. Nearly 200,000 visitors pass through the Walter Pyramid's entrances annually.

Through practical experience in performance, the  inspires and educates students for rewarding careers as artists, teachers, and scholars. Tickets are available for purchase online.

The  engages °µÍøÊÓƵand the greater community through artistic, educational, and cultural experiences that enrich lives, promote lifelong learning in and through the performing arts, and serve as a gateway between the university and the greater community.

Designed specifically for dance instruction and production, the Dance Center  is located on the north side of the °µÍøÊÓƵcampus and includes seven large studios; an instructional classroom; a state-of-the-art dance clinic; a Pilates training facility; a computer and video lab; a large costume design shop; a sound production studio; and the intimate Martha B. Knoebel Dance Theater.

Founded as an educational resource for the campus and community, the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden advances the University's ongoing interest in international education and student engagement. The Garden is open to the public and free for °µÍøÊÓƵstudents, faculty, and staff. However, reservations are required.

The University Art Museum (UAM) creates exhibition and education programs for the interpretation and appreciation of contemporary and modern art and culture. Admission to the UAM is free for all. Check out the Gallery Hours. 

All students, faculty, and staff are required to have a °µÍøÊÓƵBeach ID as it is your official form of identification on campus. You can obtain your Beach ID at ID Card Services. 

With your Beach ID Card, you have access to an array of services and privileges on campus, including the use of library services, copier and print services, access to school entertainment, sporting events, and more.

Beach Bucks are accessed through your Beach ID Card and can be used as an alternative form of payment on and off campus. , in person at the ID Card Services, or at one of our Beach Bucks Deposit machines located around campus.

The  is a convenient, on-campus stop for school and course supplies, °µÍøÊÓƵapparel, computers, other tech devices, and, of course, books.

The University Art Store has a friendly and knowledgeable staff that can help students find the art supplies they need. The Art Store also features a mini gallery of student art which is available for purchase, as well as some grab-and-go food items.

The Student ID Card doubles as Beach Bucks, and students can put money on their Beach ID Card to use at campus eateries, computer labs, and retail stores. Students can add value to their Beach ID Card by visiting the University Bookstore or depositing on a secure online portal. 

LBS Financial Credit Union is conveniently located on the 2nd floor of the 49er Shops Bookstore! LBS Financial has been serving the °µÍøÊÓƵ State community (faculty, staff, and students) for decades, offering affordable financial services. 

The  at °µÍøÊÓƵis designated by the U.S. Department of State to accept passport applications. Passport processing is completed by the U.S. Department of State. Services include acceptance of Application for U.S. Passport (form DS-11) and passport photographs. The Office is located next to the Career Development Center in Brotman Hall.

Services include the University Student Union, the Isabel Patterson Child Development Center, the Recycling Center, and the Student Recreation & Wellness Center. ASI also funds various scholarships; campus events and programs; and a student-run media division.

Overseen by the Student Life and Development Office, student organizations offer students opportunities to become active in the campus community by meeting new people, gaining leadership experience, and developing educational and extracurricular interests.

The °µÍøÊÓƵNight Escort Program is a free safety service conducted by our campus Community Service Officers (CSOs).  You may request a CSO escortby calling the University Police non-emergency line at 562.985.4101 (extension 5-4101 from a campus phone). If necessary, you may also request an escort by using one of the "Blue Light" emergency telephones located throughout campus.

Please be advised that there may be a short wait time for a CSO or a police officer to arrive at your location. Our campus community is very safe, but it is wise to wait and use the escort service.
