The first annual Data Day at the Beach was held on April 22, 2023, at CSU °µÍøÊÓƵ! Participants attended a panel with data science industry professionals and engaged in hands-on data-related activities in the computer lab.

On March 11, 2023, the 22nd Math Day at the Beach event was hosted on the California State University, °µÍøÊÓƵ campus. Math Day at the Beach is a problem-solving festival for Southern California high school students who want to have fun with mathematics and enjoy a day of camaraderie with university mathematics students and professors.

On March 12, 2022, Math Day at the Beach was hosted on the CSU °µÍøÊÓƵ campus after a 2-year hiatus. The event is a problem-solving festival for SoCal high school students who want to have fun with math and enjoy a day of camaraderie with university math students and professors.

Dr. Kagba Suaray, a professor in the Mathematics and Statistics Department at CSULB, is at the helm of national movement to get Black kids excited about math.

Dr. Lihan Wang, assistant professor of mathematics at CSULB, uses geometric analysis involving differential equations and geometry in her research examining unique shapes and how we interact with the universe around us.
