2026 Student Research Symposium Call for Abstracts

We invite undergraduate and graduate students conducting research with CHHS faculty to submit an abstract for the Student Research Symposium that will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 as part of the 5th Annual ƵWeek of Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activity (RSCA).
This year's theme is Health Literacy in Action: Evidence, Engagement, and Equity. We encourage submissions focused on the social determinants of health and topics related to health literacy and health communication strategies. Other health topics are welcome.
Abstract Deadline: March 6, 2026 by 11:59pm
Abstract Guidelines:
- Abstracts should include the following section headers and pertinent information: Background, Purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
- Abstracts should be no more than 300 words in length.
- Abstracts should be reviewed and approved by all co-authors.
- Abstracts are encouraged to address the following topics: social determinants of health, health literacy, or health communication.
Review Process:
- Each abstract will be blind reviewed by at least two Ƶfaculty.
- Abstracts submitted and accepted will be notified by March 23, 2026.
Presentation Guidelines:
- Poster presentations will be done in-person on April 24, 2026
- Posters will be presented between 12pm - 1:30pm; location TBD
