Looking Back

The Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden first opened its gates in April 1981. Our Founder, Lorraine Miller Collins, envisioned a space dedicated to nature and meditation in honor of her late husband, Earl Burns Miller. Now, 45 years later, the Garden continues to thrive as a treasured gem in the °µÍøÊÓƵ community.

Throughout 2026, we look forward to reflecting on how far the Garden has come and celebrating the people who made it possible. Join us as we commemorate this incredible milestone with special events and programming all year long, including our 45th Anniversary Celebration, the Sapphire Spectacular.
