Ways to engage with Students

Host a one-hour information session to introduce your company, highlight the work you do, explain internship or entry-level opportunities, and engage with students through Q&A. These sessions are an effective way to increase visibility and build familiarity with students over time, often resulting in growing attendance as awareness increases.

Companies may host skill-based workshops focused on topics such as resume writing, interview techniques, or career preparation. Workshops often include a brief company introduction and may be followed by one-on-one resume reviews or interview sessions, allowing students to apply what they’ve learned.

Participate in panel discussions alongside representatives from multiple organizations to share insights, perspectives, and industry experiences. Panels typically include a moderated Q&A and informal networking time, giving students exposure to a variety of companies and career paths.

Engage directly with targeted groups of students by presenting at College of Engineering club or organization General Body meetings as industry guest speakers. These sessions offer focused outreach to students with specific academic and professional interests.

Increase your company’s visibility by hosting a table on campus where students can learn about your organization while passing between classes. Tabling events often include resume drop-offs and giveaways, providing casual, high-traffic engagement with a broad range of engineering students.

Visit engineering classrooms, particularly introductory courses, to introduce your company, share career insights, and inspire students early in their academic journey. Classroom visits are especially effective for engaging first-year students and increasing awareness of emerging or lesser-known organizations.
