Off-Campus: IN-PERSON: Black LA Tech Week

Black L.A. Tech Week is a multi-day technology & innovation conference held October 12–16 in Los Angeles. 

Purpose & Focus:

  • It’s designed to build community among Black technologists, entrepreneurs, and professionals.
  • The week features workshops, panels, live demonstrations, and networking events that cover topics like cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (e.g. “GenAI for Innovators”), career pathways, and the intersection of tech and culture.
  • There’s emphasis on keeping Black perspectives central in the evolving tech landscape. 

What to Expect:

  • 5 days of programming
  • Participation from ~12 Black tech organizations
  • Over 1,000 attendees
  • Events like “Breaking Into IT & Cybersecurity,” “Tech Mixers,” “STEM Day” and “Tech Unplugged”
  • Live demos, mentorship, and panels to help people explore new tech careers & tools
