President Jane Close Conoley and Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Karyn Scissum Gunn stressed the importance of transformation in their remarks at Convocation 2022 on Friday, and how The Beach already has taken steps to keep up with an ever-changing world through the Beach 2030 Strategic Plan. 

The recently-launched Beach Wellness Inventory is a growing repository of health and wellness resources for faculty and staff. The Inventory represents a great stride in CSULB’s effort to Design a Culture of Collaboration and Community – a central component of Beach 2030’s Reimagine Staff action zone.   

Swarat takes the helm at a time of transition, as the Center for International Education (CIE) moves to operate as an independent center on campus and the former College of Professional & International Education (CPIE) refocuses on professional and continuing education.  

Two years into the decade, the Beach 2030 Strategic Plan is well underway and transforming our university to meet the challenges and opportunities of our time.

The Beach is proud to welcome Robyn Ames-Woodyard as the Assistant Vice President for Future Planning.  

Equity and diversity took center stage at Friday’s Convocation 2021 as each speaker stressed the need for change as Cal State ������Ƶ heads into the new academic year. 

With the public rollout of its 7 University Action Plans, ������Ƶhas officially launched its Beach 2030 Strategic Plan – a comprehensive roadmap of goals and actions to guide operations though this decade.  

With every new academic year comes increased expectations, renewed educational goals and plans for the future, namely the year 2030. These and others are topics President Jane Close Conoley addressed in her 2019 Convocation speech Friday at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center.
