Some of my favorite memories include traveling across the country with my teammates for water polo (Michigan and Hawaii were my favorites), spending time with my friends, trying all kinds of food all around ������Ƶ (Poke Pola on 2nd St. Is my personal favorite) and making life-long friends in my classes.

I have always felt that ������Ƶhas a strong sense of community and I felt right at home even as a transfer student. Being back on campus has allowed me to participate in various activities, the most prominent being Moot Court.

From meeting outstanding alumni from both organizations, to being able to travel and represent the school, setting school records with my team and furthering my education, ������Ƶhas been an amazing place for me to grow in all aspects of my life.

Besides making great memories with some of my closest friends (& roommates), the highlight of my experience has been taking the position of Editor-in-Chief for DÍG en Español.

DeLane Magee is a first-generation Engineering student and is a mentee in the Beach Nexus Spring Mentor Program.  

Christopher Edgar Desierto Padron is a FEA Narrative Production – Production & Directing major, and serves as the ASI Senator for the College of the Arts  

Gloria Hernandez is a Recreational Therapy Fall 2021 grad, and is part of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the EOP program. 

Gem Stacy Acabal is Choral Education and Voice Performance major, and serves as the President of American Choral Director’s Association. 

Katherine Gonzalez is a Studio Art major, and serves as the ASI Senator for College of the Arts. 

Lindsay Apaza serves as Executive Vice President/Chair, ASI Board of Directors, and is studying Political Science with a minor in Africana Studies. 

A couple of years after immigrating to the United States from the Philippines, I would pass by LBSU on 7th street and tell myself, “I’m gonna go to college here.”
