Originally I was at LMU my Freshman year, the coaches got let go so I decided to leave too. And my father figure mentor, Mike Shole, who is an assistant coach, signed here so I followed him here.
It’s been great coming from Chicago. I didn’t have too many people out here but I have been able to make great connections all throughout °µÍøÊÓƵ, and this has just been a great experience. I have always gotten the best treatment, and the fans and the support have been amazing.
Hopefully continuing to play, wherever that is. I hope that it’s here. Do what you love, and I love Basketball.
The journey to becoming an Alumni seems so quick. I think about my freshman year and I’m already about to graduate. That in itself is just humbling in a certain sense because who knows if I was going to finish college. Basketball motivated me to finish college and obviously, a degree is huge. It has been a really fast experience that I have enjoyed every minute of, and it’s going to be bittersweet leaving.
It’s balancing the life of a student and the life of an athlete. They go hand in hand. You can’t play basketball without being a student and when basketball is over you need to go into the real world, and having a degree is a great thing. The best thing is just having both those things challenge me every day.
Its going to be bittersweet. It’s going to be sad to leave, just because I love this team that we have this year and °µÍøÊÓƵ has been great to me, so I’m sad to leave, but on to the next thing.
