Zulema is a passionate Inclusion and Talent Development professional whose career reflects a deep commitment to creating space for historically marginalized communities in the entertainment industry. After graduating from CSULB, she launched a nearly decade-long career at The Walt Disney Company, the majority of which was spent at Walt Disney Animation Studios. There, her role evolved from recruitment into Talent Development and Outreach and later into a Human Resources role focused on Inclusion, Talent Planning, Leadership Development, and Mentorship. In 2021, she brought that expertise to Netflix, joining the Inclusion Strategy team to continue driving meaningful change at the intersection of people, culture, and collaboration. She is most energized by work that unlocks the highest levels of innovation and creativity—work that taps into the individual and collective brilliance of people whose different perspectives spark new ideas and additive thinking. Uriarte’s career is a testament to the power of intentional, behind-the-scenes leadership in shaping a more inclusive entertainment landscape.
