Cruz is a trailblazing Chicana disabled dance artist whose work spans local, national and international stages, weaving together dance, disability justice, visual art and writing into a powerful vision of radical accessibility. As a current New England Foundation for the Arts National Dance Project recipient, she is developing "Echoing Memories in a Distant Future," an evening-length work premiering in 2027, alongside a community engagement initiative, "Echoes of the City: Disability Arts Exchange," launching in spring 2026 in partnership with The Music Center and Los Angeles Spoonie Collective, centering QTBIPOC disabled artists and communities. Her consultancy work is equally far-reaching, she co-authored and project-managed the Access Guide for AXIS Dance Company alongside Kevin Gotkin, and has provided accessibility and disability justice consulting for organizations including LAMBDA Literary, Dance/NYC, Americans for the Arts, Mid Atlantic Arts and beyond. Cruz is committed to transforming dance into a space where marginalized bodies thrive, innovate and lead.
