Kathy is a world-traveled figure skater, accomplished author and passionate advocate whose life's work celebrates the trailblazers who broke barriers so others could follow. As a competitive skater, she reached the senior level representing the United States, performed globally with Disney on Ice and has coached and judged countless competitions, currently directing a prominent figure skating program in Sweden. Her artistic talents extend to the page, where she has authored two award-winning picture books that have earned acclaim from readers and critics worldwide. IceBreaker: How Mabel Fairbanks Changed Figure Skating (2019) honors the first African American woman inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame. Alicia Alonso Dances On (2021) celebrates the legendary Cuban ballet dancer who overcame extraordinary challenges to inspire generations.
