Suaray is an exceptional mathematician, educator and community builder whose impact at °µÍøÊÓÆµand beyond reflects a combination of academic excellence and heartfelt dedication to equity in STEM. As an architect of transformative new programs including two M.S. Options in Biostatistics and Data Science, a Certificate in AI Powered Data Analytics for Higher Ed, and proposed programs for a Minor and Certificate in Data and AI, Suaray has helped position °µÍøÊÓÆµat the forefront of statistics and data science education. Yet, perhaps his most inspiring work happens through the Hesabu Circle, a community of Black mathematicians he co-founded to share a love of mathematics with Black children and youth. Through the Circle, he has connected young students with world-class mathematicians and scholars who look like them, helping them discover their brilliance and understand how mathematics connects to their cultural heritage.
