Heredia is a transformational leader whose journey from Nyeland Acres, an underserved community in Ventura County, to the forefront of regional education and equity work is both deeply personal and profoundly impactful. As president-elect of the Oxnard College Foundation, she helps steward more than $248,000 in annual scholarship support, advancing partnerships and championing programs that remove barriers for underserved students across Ventura County. Her roots in the community run just as deep. Through Nyeland Promise, a nonprofit she helped grow, Heredia has built trusted programs including Comadres Unidas, adult ESL classes, and Healthy Nyeland Acres, which address education, health equity, senior wellness and women's empowerment for families who have long lacked culturally responsive support. A mentor, advocate and grassroots organizer, Heredia leads with empathy and purpose, ensuring that no one in her community is left behind.
