Jones is a dynamic dancer, choreographer, educator and community leader whose work weaves together artistic excellence, disability advocacy, and deep civic engagement. Jones is a founding faculty member of Segerstrom Center for the Arts Studio D, a groundbreaking program serving students with social, cognitive, and physical disabilities from the age of 4 to adulthood. Jones wrote the curriculum, which recently earned recognition as the best community program from Regional Center of Orange County. Her contributions to dance education extend nationally. She has served on the California Dance Educators Board, created the first-ever tap dance course for the National Dance Educators Organization and presents regularly at state and national conferences on arts, disability and tap and jazz roots. Selected as a Professional Artist Fellow by the Arts Council of °µÍøÊÓÆµ in 2024 and named Centennial Artist-in-Residence at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in 2025, she produced a full-length concert celebrating Hispanic dance, culture and music to critical acclaim. Jones also serves on the Citizens Advisory Commission on Disability and leads Partners of Parks, a °µÍøÊÓÆµ nonprofit that fundraises for park programs including the Nature Center and Municipal Band.
