LaChica exemplifies the spirit of the 49 Under 49 award through her remarkable 25-year career at the intersection of sports, social justice and community impact. As founder and CEO of LaChica Sports & Entertainment Group, one of the few all-female management teams in the sports industry, she has built a legacy that extends far beyond the field. Most notably, as managing director of the Players Coalition, LaChica served as a lead negotiator behind the scenes securing the NFL's landmark $89 million commitment to social justice initiatives. She recently led the Coalition to a five-year, $15 million extension, demonstrating her sustained impact at the highest levels of professional sports. Building on this work, she also co-founded Sport for Impact, which connects athletes, leagues, and community partners to advance meaningful social change through sport. Through strategic partnerships and athlete-led initiatives, Sport for Impact expands access to education, youth opportunity, health and wellness resources, economic mobility, and community-based programming, empowering athletes to leverage their platforms to drive lasting impact. Her influence reaches a global stage as well, having spoken at the 2024 United Nations International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. Recognized as a 2024 Leigh Steinberg Humanitarian Hero and a California Business Woman to Watch, LaChica also dedicates her time to the Rose Bowl Legacy Board and the Rose Bowl Institute of Race & Sports, a testament to her unwavering commitment to creating a more equitable world through the power of sport.
