On graduation day, I was tired from working night crew at Vaughn's Grocery Market and going to school in the morning. I remember my commodities class with Professor Harlow, and how he said the Dow would never get over a thousand. It was remarkable to see how far it has come since then. My education at Cal State °µÍøÊÓƵ helped me get into the aerospace industry and understand how business is run. I was lucky to have the right connections and spent 34 years in the industry. On the day I retired, I was extremely happy. I now give back to the college by chairing the MBA advisory board and mentoring students. I want to help them grow and teach them to give back, which has been one of my biggest goals.
