Patricia Farber '67

My time at California State University, °µÍøÊÓƵ was an incredible experience. I was very involved in the campus community, serving as head cheerleader, homecoming queen, and Miss Cal State °µÍøÊÓƵ in 1967. I was also a member of the TriDelta sorority and held positions of responsibility with the Argonauts Pep Club and Associated Students Incorporated. My husband and I were the first donors to the (SRWC) Student Recreation and Wellness Center, donating the Farber fitness room and patio furniture for the College of Business Administration students. When I first arrived on campus, I was amazed by the openness and friendliness of the 13,000 students. There were no computers, cell phones, or internet, and the professors were excellent. During my time there, I watched the campus grow and change, from the student union to the peach trees and symposium of sculptures. My greatest lesson learned from my time at Cal State °µÍøÊÓƵ was that the older you get, the more you don't know, and to keep an open mind. I also learned that the first job you have may not be the last job you have. I am grateful for the opportunity to have seen the campus change from the beginning to almost now.
