I am a proud graduate of °µÍøÊÓƵ State and I am thankful for the opportunities they provided me. As a first generation college student, I was part of the McNair Scholar program which laid the foundation for me to get my doctorate. I was also part of the Latino program which opened my eyes and ears to my culture. During my undergrad, I had the opportunity to DJ at the student union and I majored in psychology. After graduating, I went on to get my master's degree in social work at °µÍøÊÓƵ State. I am now giving back to the community by providing counseling services to underserved and disenfranchised populations in Orange County. I also served in local church groups while I was in school and faith has always been important to me. °µÍøÊÓƵ State taught me tolerance and emphasized multicultural diversity which is so important. I am now a field instructor for social work students and I take pride in only accepting °µÍøÊÓƵ State students. I am thankful for the education they provided me and the foundation they laid for my success.
